Part 1.3 She steps into the left, giving me a view of the quickly darkening lobby. Four windows, two of which boarded over. Dust covered brown plaster walls. Harshly worn-down tiles. I jolted to my left, after hearing Vanessa trying the light switch. She smirks, then flicks her head forward. We walk forward, stepping down into a worn in path in the tiles. Vanessa kneels, flicking on her harness torch. In the sterile blue LED light, we get a better look at this shallow trench. "Look at this wear," Vanessa said running her stripped hand over the tiles, "something heavy has worn a real deep path... man, must've been stomping about for years... it's hard to say which way its going or where from..." I kneel beside her, turning on my helmet's lights. "There's a ridge in the centre, fairly wide gait," I commentate, "I reckon it's a security bot. Maybe a C-15?" Task Orientated (Part 1.1)

Part 1.1 The Door began to shake against its hinges and the lock. Every passing second the shaking becomes more and more violent. But that only proves to be a sweeter lure, and I drive myself forward towards the door. My left hand finds itself wrapped around the worn brass knob, and I'm pressed against it, trying to force my shoulder, elbow and hip through the weathered ash coloured wood. No luck. I backed up a few steps, only to throw myself back into the door. The door buckled and buckled with each impact, but I wasn't getting anywhere. I paused, to look around for any thing that could help me to get through this door. The bedroom door was open. Under the bed would be a lock box, containing my lever gun. I burst through the door only to slide to my knees and press myself under the mattress stand. At the tips of my fingers I could feel the steel lock box, and I fumble around for the side handle. Eventually my gloved fingers catch a feel of the wire handle. I tug the box out. I

Hello There.

I'm The Other Guy, an aspiring artist and writer and I have a few stories for you.

The expanse of the twin empires is a bloated, restless and wounded mess. Though, the war was brought to a close The Earth Force Empire and Martian Commonwealth still hold one another in contempt. Open hostilities come at to high a cost, the population will not stand for another war and beginning another offensive campaign would result in open revolution. So they resolve to use covert measures, such as espionage and proxy use of mercenaries.

One man foresaw this shift, and was quick to unite the emerging industry of assassins, spies and mercenary under a self regulating guild. Omnipresent's Mercenary guild is reflection of the exacting and ruthless information broker who forged it, a pseudo empire that cloaks itself behind a respectful bow to anyone that hires its services.

This stagnant universe is long over due for change, but no one looks forward to it as the price will be more then anyone can afford.

Within this universe there lies several tales:

- "Who's Who?" An Anthology narrated by Omnipresent, as he recounts his daily life working with all matter of people. Most notably, his infamous partner a masked assassin branded as 'The Killing Shadow' by the imperial media.

- "Task Orientated" A tale of two mercenaries Vanessa and Audax Aquilla, who after working with one another for years professionally begin to open up to one another as people.

- "Boomerang Squad" After a contract drought, a Earth Force captain, Neil 'Neyo' Owens turned mercenary accepts a position at a private military. The work is steadily offered, but far to dangerous for one man, so Neyo is tasked with assembling a team.
